This one really made an Impression

Next it was off to The Courtauld Gallery, situated in Somerset House, where we saw an Impressionism exhibit. Travelista, crew, and Dianne enjoyed the work of Monet, van Gogh, Renoir, Cezanne, Cranach, Rubens, as well as many other talented impressionists. Moreover the actual gallery, once a private town-home, was a magnificent architectural marvel. Wait until you see the ceilings.  Pardon the photo-quality...flash photography was not permitted. After the gallery, we took in some fresh air as we frolicked in the water fountains of Somerset House Square.  First impressions are always most important and I think it's safe to judge the Impressionists housed at the Courtauld made quite the one on us! Laters, Travelista
