Pretty Ritzy

I think tea time is going to be part of my repertoire because today was tea day #2, but this time it was at the oh so posh, The Ritz.  We arrived at tea about 30 minutes early because someone (uhmm...GDaddy) had the time wrong.  Mimi and I got creative and befriended Matthew who took us on a private tour of the William Kent addition to the Ritz.  WKH is a grand, historic townhouse built for the 2nd Prime Minister that was added on to the Ritz about 5 years ago.  Matthew gave us some inside scoop: The Queen herself loves to dine in the red-room and in fact loves it more than the Palace!!! It was then finally time for tea and Matthew sent us champagne and a whole history book on the Ritz.  I have to say that the best part of the tea were the scones But careful, 1 minute in your mouth and a lifetime on your thighs...let's hope walking is on the agenda for tomorrow.  Missing you, Travelista
